"This Sh** is" Bananas Bread 2.0

"Never make eye contact with anybody eating a banana. NEVER." - Harry Styles, hence why we recommend this recipe, avoids awkward situations

"This Sh** is" Bananas Bread 2.0

This recipe never gets old. We love to recycle recipes and improve them, see how we can improve them. Like in any good fitness household, you'll always find a bunch of bananas in ours. Sometimes it can happen that we buy them and before you know it they have become darker and darker, that's our call to action: Time work our magic in the kitchen, time to fill the house with some wonderful smells of fresh baked goods. We wish we could share the smell with the recipe, but maybe in a near future this will be possible, for now, jump to the recipe and get going.

Ingredients - Banana Bread /

8 servings

  • 3 large bananas (ripeeeee, to the point where you are considering to throw them away #nofoodwaste)

  • 1/3 cup Olive Oil

  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup (alternative 1/3 cup Coconut Sugar)

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 TSP Vanilla Extract

  • 1 TSP Baking Soda

  • 1 1/3 Whole Wheat Flour (or any flour you prefer)

  • Salt (the secret ingredient besides love OBV)

1. As always, let's not forget to start with first things first, the oven: preheat 180°C.

2. Time to make some mush out of the bananas. Best done in a bowl with a fork, any other ways are optional (suggestions are always welcome, only serious ones of course).

3. Mix in the wet ingredients, like olive oil, maple syrup, egg and the vanilla extract. 4. In a separate bowl the flour and baking soda AND a dash of salt. Once this is mixed, throw it together with the wet ingredients. All of it goes in the oven for about 50 minutes with another dash of salt on top of it.

5. Time to take it out an enjoy. Little hack: test with a tooth pick if it is ready.

It's never not a perfect moment to make a banana bread. Easy peasy banana bread squeezy.

Put the apron on, on your marks...oh wait and the banana bread is already done!

Enjoy the basics!
